I found a beat I want. What can I do with a non-exclusive license?
You should review the Non-Exclusive License agreement, but essentially, you can record your lyrics over the beats for use on your album, demo CD, mix CD, promotional CD, radio promotion, etc. You can sell your completed song(s) as long as your vocals are recorded over the beats and you don’t sell more than 2,500 copies. However, for promotional purposes you may give away as many as you like. You must always give credit on the CD and the CD label. Credits should read “Produced by Roger E Lear for SCR Entertainment”.
I like your beats REL but I haven’t found one that exactly matches what I have in mind for my lyrics, how can I purchase a custom beat?
When you’re ready to have a custom beat developed for your lyrics, see my Custom Beats page for more information as well as a submission form to get things started.
Will the voice tag be removed from the beat before I receive it?
There will be no voice tag on the beat file you receive. The voice tag is a form of file protection similar to a watermark on a photo or a check and is applied to the samples only. I add the voice tag and save the new file in a compressed MP3 format. Not only will the file you receive not have the voice tag, it will have slightly better audio quality than what you hear in the samples.
How long are your beats?
The beats are all between three and a half to four and a half minutes in length. They include three 12- or 16-bar verses .
What format do the beats come in?
Some of the other beat sites on the internet offer their beats in MP3 format by default with an option to upgrade to the higher quality WAV file. While there’s nothing wrong with this if a compressed MP3 works for you, but I believe in giving you the higher quality WAV file as the standard for all of my beats.
Who makes the beats?
I create all of the beats on Bangin Beats By REL.
